Well, here goes another violation for me. Every single answer I post that has a religious undertone ends up a violation, but here goes anyway.
Every single revolutionary reaches out for the disenfranchised. A rise to power cannot be accomplished without the support of the disenfranchised. Words that appear in the Bible were written generations after the life of Christ. Many were put book form when Christianity was being used to gain political control of vast regions. The Bible was written by a cenrtal organization when that organization was raising armies to conquer land. I have no doubt that a lot of the words said to be the words of Christ are words someone else put in Christ's mouth.
One has to wonder about a sentence like blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Sentences like that appeal to the disenfranchised. Sentences like that have been used as a call to arms.
In my opinion, neither of those statements are correct.

if there is a mighty then it is right as always so he must have been right if it bless the meek as well!
however i mainly answered this question in order to respond to YUN's answer. i think that the"happiest" are those who are the most ignorant rather than the one's who are materially deprived the most! blessed are the ones who see the picture better (or see more of the reality)!
one may argue that ignorance is a blessing but what kind of a blessing would it be not knowing as much as possible in this life! the other life is not a sure thing but this one is necessarily true and a fact! the greedy powerful use
religions and/or all priests to advertise such a views like YUN's to keep people away from the truth! ignorance of the masses will in turn bless the rich man's checkbooks! peace

"Blessed are the meek........." as it says in the bible. I am feisty and maybe I would have gone with might is right because Lord knows I have used my might enough! While the might may win a battle...........you can lose it too! The meek (in God's eyes) NEVER lose!

It's all about power. Blessed are those with power. But happiest are those with very little.

In an alternate universe there was a Republican Jesus...who said you are a fool if you help others cause by helping them you are only encouraging them to be irresponsible.
