J.C. Laker of England was the first bowler to take 10 wickets in an innings of test match, when he took 10 wickets against Australia at Manchester on 26th July, 1956 from 51.2 overs conceding 53 runs.

In that match he took 19 wickets.

No bowler has taken 10 wickets in an ODI

Noone has taken 10 wickets in one day internationals.In tests it was Jim laker of England who took 10 wickets for 53 runs in 1956 and went on to take 9 more wickets in the second innings against Australia and become the first bowler to have 19 wickets in a test.Anil Kumble of India was the second bowler who took 10 wickets for 74 runs in Pakistan at Ferozshah Kotla stadium Delhi in 1999

Only 2 bowlers had achieved this so far it's Jim Laker from England & Anil Kumble from India.

Jim Laker took 10 wickets by giving 53 runs against Australia in 1956.

Anil Kumble took 10 wickets by giving 74 runs against Pakistan in 1999.

NO one has taken ten wickets in ODI. In test match it was Jim Laker of England.

in odi's no one has been able to take 10 wickets but the highest have been taken by mcgrath of 7 wickets and in test it is murli who took 10 wickets
