there is this girl that has been making remarks about me over the last few weeks and i have ignored them thusfar untill yesterday when she wrote a blog about me callin me a cheatin sl*t among other this and talkin about how i came into HER store when she knew i didn't like her so after reading it i decided that i was done and i wrote her a message not really the most polite but in noway threatening or anything of that sort she ends up showing her father who calls the police and everything now she is saying that her mother is going to call fox 2 news and such because after the girl that commited suicide over messages being sent 2 her they would be all over the story and her mother said that i didn't know who i was messin with and now she is getting a restraining order against me?? keep in mind we have alot of mutual friends but i have only seen this girl twice both have been complete accidents but she also says i'm stalking her is there any legal action i can take against her?

I agree totally it is little kid play i find extremly stupid and dumb but i can't afford all the stuff she says she's going to do i work for the government and i don't think me having a retraining order will go over to well with them

as for writing a apology note i thought that was considered admitting fault? why should i write a apology note for asking her to stop writing stuff about me?

Keep printouts and screen shots of all her postings - especially those showing dates. Remember, in order to get any kind of restraining order you have to go before a judge and you get to respond. The judge SHOULD be able to see that she started things and if your message to her was just to stop writing those things, she won't have a leg to stand on. While the media isn't too bright, they can also read so if things happened as you say, there isn't very much to worry about. Her and her mother are probably just blowing smoke to make themselves feel important.

yeah, i think i would print out, save, etc. everything she's wrote about you - with the dates!
Then I would make copies of all of it and mail it to her parents explaining why you wrote her the letter in the first place. I would also explain that you're done with the situation. Then let dead dogs lie.
Maybe if you don't give her any kind of attention after this, it will go away

If you only sent her one response then no one will really take her seriously in my opinion, especially if she posted blogs about you first. I think that YOU should put a restraining order on HER, because she's the one cyber bullying you and threatening you also by saying she's going to "do this" and "that". You need to realize that you are the victim in this situation and you need to take charge before she tries to get you into even more trouble.

Get a lwayer, print out everything she has said to/about you online and call the police on her. Dont let her family push you around, if you really did nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. As for her mother calling the news that is ridiculous, did it ever occur to her mother that her own daughter is the one causing the trouble and causing you harm?

It sounds like you haven't told your parents of the situation...which would indicate you started it!
The first one that goes to the police has the upper hand.
If you print off the blog and show them you should be fine...unless the blog has proof against you on other incidents.
Nobody would call the news and have their daughter on tv unless their child was truly a vicim so there's nothing to really worry about, is there?
You should maybe find a new hobby...

Now, I would talk to my parents about getting an attorney to send her a letter eluding to "mental anguish" and "civil suit". That should probably scare her off.

The best idea is to not contact her in any way. Do not write to apologize. Do not respond to her should she contact her. If you want to prepare for the worst, then document what's been going on. Get your ducks in a row, in other words. Odds are this is all bluster, so don't feed into it.

You need to realize you cannot control who likes and dislikes you, just accept the fact that there will be examples of each in everyones life. For now, you really need to turn off your computer and go outside.

I don't know what is scarier- the fact this girl is out of control or the fact your wrote this babble and you work for the government. So what she called you a sl*ut- you'll be called worst in your life.... and I don't understand how this affects you or is hurting you. Just ignore her- you can't get a restraining order unless she actually does something to you. You both sound immature.
