I've seen a lot of women with orangey hair lately. Is orangey the latest fad in women's hair?

Red hair is good (my wife was a titian redhead and she was gorgeous). Orange is out of this world but not in a good way!

[Tracy] Gosh, I hadn't thought of you as a redhead! Interesting ...
[LS] Ever thought that the feeling might be mutual?

They must be former brunettes who didn't leave in the blonde long enough.

OOPS!

Although I've not seen too many "orangey".

I agree with Oracle - I have some red-headed friends that would CRINGE at the sight of orangey hair.
I also hate the plum look - you know, the ones who do their hair like they spilled a bottle of merlot on it?

I haven't seen any of this — maybe because most of the women in my city are wearing winter hats. Or maybe the women in your town are going to some stylist who specializes in orangey hair.

I saw a table full of women at dinner with orangey hair... maybe they split a cost of a bottle of home hair dye.

As another posted stated, orangy hair comes from trying to bleach dark hair blonde, and the person didn’t leave the bleach in long enough. It looks tacky, doesn’t it?

I think people should be happy with the color hair they’re given. I don’t bleach mine anymore, and feel that other people should do the same.

As for grey hair, that’s a different story…

Real red hair is underrated. I've known some ravishing ladies with red hair.
Orange hair is vile. Especially when it is out of a bottle.

[edit] Indeed, and they could get the same effect using a cheap house wine rather than wasting merlot!

I have dark red hair and recently had a few copper highlights added. I wouldn't consider that orange, but I have seen a few colours on men and women that is pretty questionable.

Well, then nothing for it except to perhaps, put in a couple of barrettes in the shape of toast to go with that marmalade thing and off they go; then if that don't suit their fancy they can just wear a chocolate colored hat to go with that caramel thing they got going and prance around like a candy bar. fashion problem accomplished. (rolls eyes) An accidental fad is more like it; meanwhile one has to compensate till it gets sorted out.

You mean the Mac and Cheese hair color? That would be a result of bleaching hair that is too dark to be bleached into a decent color. It happened with many high school and college boys a few year back....the poor things though it looked good too.

Exactly what color is "orangey"? Sort of a redishbrownorangedarkyellow-ish kind of a thing? Under this stunningly attractive mop of grey hair there hide several of my original auburn hairs, there go with my (dark) green eyes.

It's to put men like you off. I had never considered 'orangey' before, but now...
