If you meant to ask whether you could be evicted if they did NOT serve the papers, the answer is no.

But you can be served in many different ways, including posting the notice on your door, giving the papers to an adult at the address (even if it is not you), even publishing in the newspaper.

Don't put your head in the sand. You don't want to be unprepared when the sheriff shows up to lock the doors, with you on the outside.

See if your state (city) gives u the ability to file what is called an "Order to Show Cause"....call housing court or a local legal aide society for eviction prevention....especially if u have kids.....but act TODAY.....you usually only have 72 hours in most states before the Marshall or Sheriff come to LOCK your door!

There is insufficient information here to answer the question. When and where and by whom were you served, where is the property in question, what are the grounds for eviction?

Sure, once you have gone to court and the landlord gets an eviction order. Or if you ignore the summons and your LL gets a default judgment against you.

i dont see why not.
in any state if there is a valid reason i would think eviction
papers can be served unless state and city law prohibit it.
i have never heard though, in any state or city where
eviction is outlawed or illegal.
