I have found some old tins of beans that have been in the cupboard for about 2 years (supermarket own brand= yuk) Can I put the old microwave in the garden using an extension cable fill it full of the tins of beans UNOPENED and press start on the old microwave. What will happen.

Please put a video camera on tripod and record the whole thing, then send us the clip to see.
Joking apart, it is dangerous because the tins will explode and will be all over the place. You can get hurt or you can hurt somebody.

You'll probably get a lot of sparking from the metal cans.

Microwaving eggs-in-shell is more fun.

it will probably go on fire might even blow the fuse in your extension
