Yes. You make a valid point. Your question is not nonsensical. Some people come here to play while others come to learn or to contribute. I do not suggest that either is wrong only that participants should be sensitive to what is appropriate in any given circumstance. Not ever question is for a laugh just as not every question requires a serious response. Some, I just wonder about ............

I do not wonder at all.
I KNOW why people (and mice) ask such questions.

Yaddiction... and the fun of communicating with people from around the world.
More fun than chatting because everyone has a choice to answer or not and one can edit and time to think before putting one's foot in it (chatrooms once you send it is too late). And we don' t have to interrupt anyone or get interrupted.

Yaddiction - give in to it!

I always ask nonsensical questions and it's because of boredom at work.....and the fact that I'm in the minority on here that still has a sense of humour.....

Yes i believe a lot of the questions are just expressions.

I saw one the other day...'what should i have for my dinner?'. I mean, are they so desperate for friends? It's as though they need to have people typing away to them just so they feel popular/important.
What annoys me more is the atrocious spelling. I know abbreviations are the norm now, but some of them abuse the system.
And if one more person puts, 'how was your christmas?' I'll have to report them for lack of imagination.
Rant over.
Thank you. That feels a bit better.
