Just wondering, watched the film the Labyrinth again the other day (the one with David Bowie), and at several points in the film the main character mistakingly calls someone Hogwart, d'you reckon this is where JK Rowling got the name from?

...it's possible that she drew inspiration from several genre films, which had been prominent around the time of "Labyrinth"; the one that sticks out in my head, is a little ditty of a fantasy film, from 1986, and called "Troll". Part of the film's premise had to do about a young boy, who finds himself reluctantly caught up in the sinister world of magic and evil...and his name was Harry Potter!!!

...far too obvious, to be a coincidence, eh?!?!

Very clever, I hadn't thought of that. It's always interesting to know what inspired certain writers.
