I love this question! My daughter and I are probably the biggest movie theater fans on earth. We can tell you all the inside tips on the best seats, how to get tickets to avoid crowded lines, snack bar discounts, best times to go and a review of most every movie out there, except the gory ones, we shy away from those. The last movie we saw was yesterday, we saw " National Treasure, Book Of Secrets". We do rent and stay home as well in inclemant weather. When is Hollywood going to offer us that job as resident critics? Ha ha!

I enjoy doing both. But if I spend money to see a movie in
a theatre, it had better be a good one, or it's a waste of time and money.
I do enjoy the convenience of seeing a dvd at home and being able to relax while I watch a movie. I still watch videos on the VCR because I have some good ones. If I don't like what's on a dvd, I can always take it out.
The last movie I saw in a theatre was "Beowulf". The one
before that was "Elizabeth- the Golden Age" It was excellent.

I don't remember when I last went to the the movie theater. I enjoy watching DVD's at home. I can watch it at my own pace and get up and do something else if I want to. I always find the theaters distracting and the sound is so loud . No matter where I sit someone is usually nearby talking, laughing, loudly.. Movies seem to be released rather quickly after the movie is in the theater so I don't mind waiting.
** Jack P. Don't know what you thought of Fried Green Tomatoes, but that is one of my favorites!

If I think that it will be a really really good movie I want to see it in the theater. I especially want to see it on the big screen if there are a lot of special effects. I love to go to the matinees because I like for the room to be less crowded.
The last movie I saw at the theater was the new Hairspray. It was delightful. Before that was Spiderman 3.

The last movie I saw in a theater was "Somethings Gotta Give." I hate to go to the theater now because with the new sound system it is so loud I am miserable. I much prefer to watch in the comfort of my own living room. Trouble is my DVD player is on the fritz. Until I can get it fixed I watch Starz on Directv. Not many new movies, they come on slow, but it's better than nothing.

I really prefer going to the theater...yet, don't make it that often. The last movie I saw was American Gangster. There are some out now I do want to see...like the one with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson;-Bucket List; Nicole Kidman's Golden Compass; Will Smith's I Am Legend; Hanks' Charlie Wilson's War; and No Country for Old Men.

The last movie I saw in a theater was Transformers. It was an unusual choice for both of us. We usually watch movies at home. We have a good friend who owns a video store here and we get all our movies free and even get some of the new ones before the release date.

It has been two years since I went to a movie theater. I have a Netflix account and get all my movies, new and old, from them. I would prefer going to a theater but most of them are too expensive. I will go to see a movie that is best viewed on a big screen like "Master and Commander". I have been a movie fan all my life.

It depends on the movie - Some of them, you need to watch on a large panorama, surround sound movie theater. The effects are totally different. The only problem is the cost is high now $6.50 to $12 depends upon the movie. This is NYC. I also watch movies on DVD at home. If you watch it with a large LCD, it also pretty good.

Have not been to a theater in a couple of years.
I do prefer to rent DVD's then you can stop or start them at your desire.
Also the snacks do not cost you a arm and leg. You do not have people talking all through the movie and banging your seat back. No sticky floors and It is more comfortable on the couch.
