Yup..thats a contraction. If it happens more than 4 times an hour, you may want to call your OB to be monitored. Braxton Hicks are practice contractions...and at 35 weeks, you are still a bit early for contractions to start and have a pattern...so keep an eye on the clock.
Chances are you will have them more and more frequently as you go into the next few weeks...in a week or so you will be full term, and it shouldnt be a concern unless you have them every 5 minutes for over an hour, your water breaks or you are having a lot of pain with them.
Good luck

yes they sound like braxton hicks to me, you will know when they turn into the real thing, i have already had braxton hicks and i am only 24 weeks, i had them for about an hr and they came and went for about 5 minutes and it got hard at the top and made me tense up, its giving you practice.

Yep, that's what I'm getting too. Everyone says we'll know the difference when the real ones come. They're intense and focus more on the lower back and lower abdomen, while these are more towards the top and painless.
The good news is they will start your cervix dilation. I'm already 2 centimeters.
