well..first of all 14 is a young age, i got mine done when i was 16. Anyway besides the point. Nose piercings are fine, they wont catch boogers or anything so u don't need to worry about that. draw a dot on your nose to show her that it looks fine! and make sure u get it on the left side! Just make sure u don't wear rings then you will look fine! it does not hurt at all, oh but there is one problem. Nose piercings don't heal for like a year, so a summer will not be enough time for it to heal so you can take it off!! Hope you get ur b'day pressie!

No...you are 13 and don't need to pierce your nose. I'm guessing it's trendy in your school or group to pierce your nose, and your mom just doesn't want you to follow the trends to that point. Wait 5 years and get it done when you are 18 if your still want it.

Sorry I agree with her, I have a 15 year old, and I wouldn't let her do that at 15 --you can't really hide a nose piercing, unless you want it close up- but oddly enough I'd let her get a small tattoo somewhere, but she's not into that stuff.

I wouldn't say it was mean. She's just looking out for you.
I'm 14 and my dad wont let me get anything pierced, only my ears.
She obviously doesn't think you're grown up enough for it. Or, the fact she doesn't like you having a nose piercing. She might think it's nasty or something.
But, maybe when you're a little older, she might change her mind if you convince her nicely :)
Good luck.

No, why would you want to stick a hole through your body at this age? That's for the 16/17/18 years. Once you've had enough of that piercing once you take it out it will ALWAYS leave a big hole and a big scar (so when your like ancient it will still be there!!!) bewarned!! your funeral!

no its not mean.. if its a nose piercing now.. what wil it be next??.. also.. you might regret it.. granted.. you could always take it off.. its not worth it. when youre 18.. if you really want to do it.. go for it.. but till then.. yr mom probably has better judgment htan you.also think about what others might say.. at your school, people in your family, even random people, just give it time.. theres nothign wrong with it.. but when you are older.. not now:]

Your mother should not directly say no for nose piercing. What she should do is to have some fashion sense and awareness and help you to look better. Piercing is already part of fashion. Just be yourself always.

No, she's not mean at all. She shouldn't let you get your nose pierced.
I'm sure she thinks you're beautiful as you are and you don't need metal in your nose.

She has your best interests at heart. Trust your mother. She loves you and is not saying that to be mean. Why do you want to do that anyway.... you will just get sick of it in a year or two. Trust your mother. I don't know where id be without mine
