I get tons of email from other users. 98% of it is basically welcomed, but I do get a few hateful messages. The hate mail is even welcomed. If I've made enough of an impression on someone to invoke jealousy on an answers website to a person that I really have no impact on, I must be doing something right.

I do! Sadly, most of my comments must be unremarkable, as I've received only 2 or 3 emails from answerers over the past year or so.
