As has been previously stated you are comparing two different forms of music, made at different times. Jimi Hendrix was an innovator and developed a new style of music. He took the knowledge he had gained from the jazz musicians of the US, rock musicians he knew, and even his own cultural heritage and blended the music. He felt the music had two main influences earth and space. This fusion produced the psychodelic or acid rock of the 60s. This form predated the development of heavy metal by bands like Iron Butterfly and Black Sabbath.

Megadeath is a good band, but they are part of a genre of heavy metal sound and themes which have been repeated for decades.

I enjoy the music of Megadeath, but find Jimi Hendrix was unique for his time and remains as an icon, and is still one of the finest rock guitarist in history.

I like Jimi Hendrix. My students recently introduced me to megadeth. What a cool band. I don't know how you compare the two. Jimi is more old school. Both have good bands. Rock on!
