I nursed my son until 13 months and I'm nursing my 5 month old now. At the end of nursing my son I did find it a little sad to wean him but he was down to only 1 feed a day so it was quite easy. I'm having a few problems with soreness at the moment so not sure how long I will continue but hope to make it to 12 months. By then you usually don't need formula or bottles. It's much easier to go on to cows milk in a cup.

It relies upon. formula fed infants many times sleep longer than breast-fed infants. My son did no longer sleep by the evening till he grew to become into 7 months previous. whilst they are 4 months they could awaken between a million - 4 hours to consume. there is not any longer a series volume of time they'll sleep.

I breastfed my first to 6 months of age, and my second to 9 months. I planned to feed until about 9 months even after going back to work (part-time) when they were 4 months old. I just expressed during the day on the days when I worked.

I fed my first till 7 months and the second was 8 months. I only stopped with the first because I had returned to work at 5 months and was feeding morning and night but she just rejected the breast for the bottle and by 7 mths just didn't want anything from me anymore. With the second I got very sick and was forced to wean as the medication I was taking was translating into my breast milk and made him sick.

I will try and feed for as long as possible again and hoping to make it to 12months this time as was the plan with the first two. But I will take it as it comes! Nature has its own ideas sometimes.

Try feeding for as long as you are able. Not because "its the best nurtrition" and all that, but because its such a wonderful experience that only you and your baby get to share. I miss our time together like that. Nobody can interfere or do it for you. Its what our bodies were designed to do and I'm so grateful I got to do it!

best of luck
