It's pretty simple. A lot of people are not guaranteeing the Pats victory in the Super Bowl this year.

So give me your reason as to why you think the New England Patriots will not walk away with the Lombardi trophy this year?

The fact that they have home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs could actually hurt them, because the game they play best works best in a warm climate, like the host of this years Super Bowl, Glendale AZ. There are several teams that could beat the Patriots in the AFC, and If I were coaching one of them, the first thing I'd do is take them to Foxboro, and have all of my team's practices there, so my players could get used to the cold weather before the game starts

Well although in reality i think that they actually will win the SB i can see scenarios where they dont....

1.) It is sooooooo hard to win that many games in a row (seeing as how no one has ever won more than 17 in a row in single season, NEVER).

2.) Matchups...say they play the Chargers, LT is a guy capable of carrying his team to victory on his back (esp. since NE's run defense has been exposed). Jags, MJD and Taylor are certainly able to pop off a massive game and just shred them. Colts - weapons all over the place and a D who CAN step up.

3.) (God forbid) Injuries. What happens if Brady goes down? Or Moss? Bad news...

There are certainly reasons for believing the Pats wont win it all, but at this point in time i would believe that there are more reaosns to believe that they will. On paper its a done deal, but the game is played on the field not on paper so hence the term "any given sunday" - b/c it certainly can be done.

Strong secondary's and an even stronger running game have proven to be successful against the Patriots, even if they have yet to get a complete result. The blueprint is there, and the Colts, Chargers, and Jags could knock em out before the Super Bowl, and if they do get there the Cowboys, Bucs, and Vikings are equipped to do the same.

However, the Pats have this going for them: they've already beaten half those teams. And even though the blueprint is there, no one has successfully done it. Hell, the only thing thats stopped Brady all season was the weather.

Jared G --- that's not much of a reason, at all .. it does not address the game...

Capt. Frank --- last year is history, and gay references, are not a reason...

dark angel -- "losers" with a 15-0 record.. hmmmm, your logic is warped.

froggy_logic --- tired teams, playing nights and short weeks.... they'll be coming off a bye, and fired up to go... (it's Jaguars not "jaguairs" ... The Patriots have also, been saving their running game, for when it was needed, why risk injury to the players when the passing game was working so well. Did you not see Maroney gain over 100 yards in each of the last 2 games?

RedMan .. did you see what the Patriots did to Cleveland, when they played them before ??? even if the Browns make it past the first week....

jkharris & wcbaseball ... well thought reasons..

gecko ... again .. the NFL said the camera incident was a "rules infraction" and that the incident had NO impact upon the outcome of the game.. seems those with NO argument, have to bring that up every time they cannot think of a decent argument...

chris s--- again .. they have been saving their running game, for when it's really needed, why risk injury, when the passing game was working so well... it's called stragegy.

Maximus -- I guess you missed the Patriots Cowboys game in week 6....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not many reasons at all why the Patriots won't win.. mostly reasons why they will win.

They're amazing...

Go Patriots 15-0 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol here come the thumbs down...

because they barely won against the eagles and ravens. And they didnt "murder" the Dolphins like everyone thought they would, I mean this team has only won 1 game out of 16 weeks of football. The jets put more points on the board (40-13) than the Pats did. Even worse they didnt put any points on the board in the second half, not even a FG. They're getting weak...they know every team is determined to knock off the perfect season.

First of all: there has not been very many teams in the history of football who have had a perfect season. The odds are against them in doing that.

Second of all: Can they win without cheating?

Third of all: there are several other teams in the play offs who could upset them like the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers and not to mention the Colts and the Jags.

If the Pats do win then it would be a shame because they had to cheat to actually win!!!! The NFL should then if they win look into the Pats whole season because once a cheater always a cheater!!!!

A rules infraction is "CHEATING" Froggy !!!!! If it is against the rules then it is "CHEATING". Why the heck do you think we have pentalies in the NFL so that the game is fair to every team not just one team!!!! Yea, I know what you are going to say then that every team cheats but some teams choose to make it known on the field with pentalies and some tend to do it behind others backs!!!!

Froggy saving your team's so called talent so players don't get injured is a laugh and a half!!!! What they can't handle a tackle or Tom Brady eating the turf. If your team can't handle injuries then maybe they should sit on the side lines and watch a real team play!!!!!!

Yeah...I got nothing...The Pats ARE winning the Super Bowl...The only 2 teams that could make a game out of it are the Colts and Jags in the AFC...but they'll only make a game of it for a half...That won't do it against the Pats...

the only way the pats will lose(coming from a giant fan)is if they underestimate someone in the playoffs.overconfidence can cause you defeat.they might have dominated this year but they still are playing in the NFL....anything can happen.i think Jacksonville has the best type of team to beat the PATS.

Because they wont even make it to the superbowl. Expect an early exit by the Patriots at their first home game in the post season at the hands of Da Browns!!!!
