All the time. My gardens are only ever watered with rain collected in my 3 water butts. I use it to clean the car as well, usually when the car is already wet so I don't need to use detergents as much. I also use bath/shower water, syphoned out of the bathroom window using a hose, on the garden in dry spells. I used to live in a water metered house and I still think of water as the precious comodity it is. Only use tap water for human/animal consumption.

I collect water off my roof to water plants. I have a barrel that fills up and I dip water from it. In the late summer there is not enough moisture to collect.

Yes, I use it to fill my under ground water tanks. This helps in dry season when little water is available for my plants.
