yes 32 To 1. use good quailty motorcycle 2 stroke oil, not the outboard motor 2 stroke oil. and you have to premix it and add it the tank. there is no oil inject on a kx.

I have a 2000 and i use 50:1 because i have the top end and bottom end redone. I asked the local shop what i should use and they said to use the klotz 2 stroke oil and put 50:1 ratio because the motor is riding on more high performance stuff then the stock stuff. And Plus he said that it will keep the piston and everything cool better as i ride. What i do is a measure out every gallon of gas i make with a measuring cup so that i get the exact amount everytime. If anything you wnat to run a little rich but you never want to run with not enough. I'm not sure what the tank is on the side for. It might be the overflow tank for the radiator or something like that. Well hope i told you everything. Happy Riding and be safe

Check to see if there is a pipe running from the tank down into engine. If there is,take casing off to see if there is a pump.If so,you have a KDX engine. There should also be a pipe from engine to carb manifold or carb.Mix 2.5ml oil per litre of fuel.

yeah all new bikes are 32:1 , the old generic 2 strokes from bikes to weedwackers used to be 50:1

a KX was built to race> it wont have any extra weight like a mix oil reservoir,......these are found on trail bikes

32:1 with regular 2 stroke oil, 50:1 with synthetic. I run 50:1 with Klotz synthetic.

Japanese manufacturers recommend 32:1 in all of their 2 stroke models.
