Zakk Wylde (Ozzy, Black Label Society) hands down. He's not your solo for the sake of soloing so-called progressive rock (just another name to be able to play 2 hour long guitar solo's) type of music. He knows the value of a solo and how to play very few notes or so many notes it will blow your brain to bits. Not only that, he picks every single note clearly, not just hammer-ons and pull-offs. Check out his album with BLS 1919 Eternal and listen to the acoustic song on there ( I think it might be called Speedball, but that might be the one off his first album.)
Oh and to rose05 up there FLEA IS A BASSIST NOT A GUITARIST!!!
