I just got a new laptop with Vista on it. For some reason when I try to check for updates it will just run and run and run. It's like its not really running. Then when I try to install one of updates that has already been downloaded it will just stay a 0%. I looked at my update history and it says that I did get succesuflly updates. But, that was a few days ago.....I guess when it was working....

What can I do?

also...please dont tell me about I should downgrade to XP or bla bla bla....I dont want to hear about that. I want an answer to my question....

please and thank you,
Jake

If you are using automatic updates these are probably invisible to you or so small as to be un-noticable. As you don't want to hear about the last part of your question I will not dwell on the benefits of down-grading to whatever.

Your new laptop may have problems. Bring it back to repair center and ask them to re-install the Vista for you.
