How can you be a hero?

can you give me some ideas on how to be a hero .. not totally a hero like our countries hero ..

volunteer you time in your city(soup kitchens), set up fundraisers for a good cause, help your elderly neighbors(take out their garbage, shovel snow), tutoring at a school set up after school programs. if you see someone getting heckled help out.
