I just got the depo shot for the first time this month and my period is late, thats if its coming at all. it doesn't feel like its coming is this normal

I have been getting the shots now for 12 months and dont worry my period went away after the first needle the doctor said it was normal and i have not got my period the whole time i have been on it

I know a few babies that were Depo babies. lol Its always a possibility. Take a test if your worried and talk to your doctor. I also have friends who didn't get there periods AT ALL while on the Depo shot.

Yes its "normal". Some bleed for MONTHS, some have regular periods, some spot at odd times, and some don't ever have a period.
I'd reconsider the shot though. Too many women suffer horrible on it (I'm one of them!).

its not a very great idea to take the depo shot
it throws your period off and sometimes your period doesnt stop and you just keep bleeding
happened to 2 of my friends
after being on the shot for a while
they just kept bleeding
and its bad for your bones

how long have u had you period for?
it is normal for it to be late, its never on the same date, but it can also be a week off.
i have a friend who had that shot and she also stopped getting her period but it came back after a few days.
