This creates an intimate bond beyond what either is sharing with any other human being, a way to show you care, to unite as one, to be close. If it is viewed as self-satisfaction only or titillation or manipulation, it works against marriage. This means that both need to agree to the approach and work on it by making it a priority and by setting the tone with the rest of their relationship.

Some mornings you just don't feel like getting up for breakfast, so it's a way to feed each other. Hey, "rufstuff" -- that ain't glue! Seriously though, it's one of many ways for couples to express their love for each other. It does encourage a certain closeness that can't be attained any other way. Keep in mind that it shouldn't ever be considered THE most important part of a relationship. A joining of the hearts is much more important.

If you show me a couple, married or otherwise that isn't having lots of sex I will show you a couple that is not "in love"!!!! That's just the honest truth. Maybe sex is more important than most people realize!!!

Sex can fulfill many needs for people... to help feel loved, a closeness, desire etc... IF you are in a marriage and unsatisfied you start looking elsewhere and end up violating your marriage.

Because without it, you might as well just marry your buddy. Probably would have more in common with a buddy anyway.

Sex is the unification of two into one. It's as if you are telling your partner "I only belong to YOU" and vice-versa.
