My husband and I call it consideration chores. If you see it dirty pick it up or do it. Or if you notice one spouse washing the dishes, be considerate to do it next time. It shouldn't be 50/50 it should be 100/100. Consideration for each other is the most important thing. I also don't believe in the old fashioned woman should do all the cooking and cleaning deal. If I work my husband takes care of the home, and vise versa.

I no longer work out side of the home. But when we were first married I did. And for the first month we lived together, he did all of the cooking, until I got tired of hamburger helper and sloppy joe's. After that I did almost all of the cooking. He did all the grilling during the warmer weather, and still does.
We pretty much did every thing 50/50 when we both worked, even though I did the cooking, he did all of the dishes and clean up after.
Now I do pretty much everything around here, even the lawn work.

Well, whomever is the better cook cooks :P well, My BF helps me wash dishes and takes the trash out. I cook cuz I am better at it and most men dont really cook lol.
you divide it by telling him what his part is! like he has to do the laundry on this day every week. or dishes he washes on some days ETC. =)

Why young lady would you say your boyfriend helps you with the dishes? Are they YOUR dishes alone, are you the only one who uses them and makes them dirty?
Young women you must not let a man make you believe the house and everything in it is your work and you must look after it.
It is proven through research that men who do 50% of the housework get a lot more sex in their relationships than the lazy lay abouts who think their partners are their maids or housekeepers.

We both work and go to school. our time is very valuable. we plan as far ahead as we can. I cook and she cooks. when I cook she does dishes and vise versa. As far as house work she has a lil more time than i do... but i pitch in as much as i can. I clean bathrooms / I do take out trash / yard work is maining mine. Any car work is mine. but i never sit if she is busy. It helps keep the peace
