Its basically just an agreement on paper that you will stay faithful to the man or woman you marry but....
Um Some people look at it as a ball and chain thing where they hate it. I dont think marriage is for everyone but I dont think its an awful thing.I mean if two people make responsible choices and plan to stay together through the bad and the good times then i think marriage is a great thing and that raising a family is great as well as long as you take care of your kids and care for their needs and raise them well. It takes two people though if you dont both commit to making it work it will be alot harder and it might work out but might not.depends on how strong willed you are.
But Im only 14 so what should i know?

when i got married it was arranged so then it was just something i had to do cultural thing really and it was unbearable living wiht someone you dont love or care for for ten years and had kids from this man
marrieage with someone you love is about commitment ,compromise knowing your postion in the relationship ,encouraging each other to be a better person being there for one another thru thick and thin ,unconditional love,companionship,being best friends,bringing out the best in each other ,being happy,not trying to squash each others dreams and ambitions instead trying to help one another to achieve them
