her mother killed her. the case is now closed since you can't prosecute the dead. i mean u can but it'd be stupid. She got away with it and is burning in hell. Her father didn't kill her but knows that his wife did and tried to cover up for her. The house is haunted. It's been abandoned. Her brother is chronically depressed. some say that he went insane coz of wat happened 2 her. he is now being treated in a psyhiatric facility. sometimes he talks in his room (no phone, etc). the guards look through the window but they see no one else. I think that he talks to his sister.

This tragedy has never been resolved. It is a cold case. Jon Benet's parents/brother moved away. Her mother has since died of cancer. Unfortunately, it isn't likely that this case will ever be solved.
As a Christian, I believe that the person/persons who did this horrid thing will answer to God for their crimes.
It is a shame when such things happen at a time when people are celebrating, it links the holiday to the tragedy in some people's minds. I hope, for your sake, you can turn your mind to something more joyful. I truly believe that Jon Benet is happy and in Heaven, as we speak!

I still believe a much reduced sentence or probation for any one come forward and confess or give credible information. Even I would be pleased if one provide a time capsule which will be open after the person death. It is a joke that other wise one will know what happened and who was the killer. This is the only way to know. Forget that the police will find the killer. No way.

Sad case, as is any violent case involving a child. I think the Boulder police have filed it under 'cold cases'. The Ramsey family moved east with their son, Burke . The mother, Patsy, passed due to cancer and the father, John, is now seeing the mother of another tragic case, the one of the missing Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

wow, I hadn't thought it had been that long!!
but those who answered that the case was closed, the mother dying, is true, I remember hearing that....
what I don't like, is people rushing to judgment saying her mother killed her. No one knows that for sure. That woman went to her grave possibly not being the one, and lived a nightmare none of us would ever want to endure. It was a sad thing that little girl was killed. Many children are harmed everyday, and it is just sickening....We may never know what happened to her, and countless others. And people of all ages murdered that the case isn't solved. It is beyond words what us human beings are capable of doing to one another...

Her brother was ten when she died. Her parents moved to Atlanta, I believe. The house was up for sale. I don't know if they closed the case or not.

No they moved.
The case will never be closed. That's so ridiculous. Any unsolved crime is just that, unsolved. It becomes a cold case!
They've recently talked to some guy, but apparently he didn't do it!
It's too bad the mother had to die with the stigma of having murdered her own child!

Her family hasn't lived in that house in years. They moved back east after the murder.
