it could be but some of these people like to make these trades that dont have a chance of happening and they get mad but if somebody has a trade that makes since they think it is the stupidest thing ever done.

It depends on the intelligence of the users.The problem is people with too much time on their hands post "fantasy trades" invloving 4 teams and 20 players; or one-sided deals that only benefit THEIR team.

Let's face it, NBA GMs aren't using it to see if deals work under the cap. In real life, trades are much more complicated transactions. But when used smartly, it serves its purpose, which is to generate discussion/debate among fans.

This is just for people playing around and it tells you if its possible. For ex. some players contracts say some specidic things of being traded. I've used this before and you can do whatever and see what the trade would like like/result in.
But if you were on some sports website and say some of this, it is someone playing around asking and showing people possibilites.

The only thing it really ensures is that financially the trade would be allowed by the NBA
