The best way is to buy one from craigslist either unlocked or for the network you are wanting to use (ATT/ Cingular). That was you can try your SIM card and see if it works. Ebay, but you won't get to try it out before you buy. AT&T store and online should be the same price. So you should be able to call them to see what the price is. If you buy one from them it's going to be at lease a one year extension if not 2 years plus they will usually charge you a activation charge.

To qualtify for discounted phone pricing with AT&T you must have completed 21 or the 24 months on your contract without being suspended for nonpayment more than 2 or 3 times. If you fall into that category, you would be eligible for the discounts and rebates. If not, you would be paying the list price of $450.

With any cell phone contract, you will not get a discount on any cell phone until your contract expires. However if you currently have a cell phone and want to upgrade and get another cell phone then you would have to pay full retail price. In this case you would have to pay the list price of $450.00.

The online price is only for new subscribers who do not have service with that cell phone provider.
