Different numbers of stalks of the Lucky Bamboo are thought to symbolize slightly different kinds of luck:
2 stalks = love
3 or 6 stalks = happiness
5 or 7 stalks = health
8 stalks = wealth
9 stalks = general good fortune
21 stalks = blessings

The flower that is the symbol of luck is the 4 leaf clover. "A four leaf clover refers to an aberration of a three leaf clover plant, the Trifolium repens or white clover" (which is terribly difficult to find!!!)
