Because you live in, and have been influenced by, civilized society...the psychological aspect outweighs the primitive basic instinct. If there is a word to describe it (even happiness) then it is basically psychological. Our understanding and perceptions of the ways in which we interact with the world around us is bound up in history, lexicon, metaphor and meaning.

Why has Love become defined anything other then Nurturing? Do we have to have scientific tools and reasoning for everything, said the hypocrite(me) to anyone who would take a stand otherwise.
Love should go beyond any-one idea we come to call it. The best way to sum it up is in the statement. God is Love. Because No one can agree what, who, or How? God, is. And that's the point with Love. And should be treated, equally, at least in my mind.
Psychological Love? No. Love as Love? Yes? Love is Love is Love, and that's all Love is.

No, because love can often be irrational, because it is based of emotions not thoughts.
Happiness is an emotion and also a psychological thought. You can be in love, but not be happy.
If everything IS psychological than I am a lost cause. The last time I sought therapy, I was told I had a better handle on things than they (the therapist) did, and they couldn't help me.
Maybe it just varies upon the person and their personality?

Do not speak to me about love ,because I have loved and I have suffered, Love is without reason or rhime. It is an irrational force that takes hold of you like an unexpected hurricane. It is like a storm at sea that shakes you until you lose your bearings. Once you fall in love you embark on this "Phantasy Ship" where everything is great., where we see the world through colored glasses. It is a magical kingdom. We see the object of our love as pure perfection. I'll tell you, it is crazy but wonderful. I don't recommend that people fall in love too often ; the experience will leave you dizzy and walking through the streets wondering about what just happened to you. In many ways it is a humiliating experience. Suddenly you life is reduced to one thought: Thinking about your love. You are in a trance. Hypnosis couldn't match it. Sometimes you walk around talking to youself. People that see you think that you are bananas. To answer your question, I think LOVE is mainly emotional. If you don't feel it it is not love.

There is lots of mis-understanding about love..but in normal human being..we may say ..3..types of love..1st one is a physical attractions..normally devolop in man more than in woman..which is very sellow..2nd is a mental love..where your thoughts meet,..this love you may name psychological..but its better than 1st one...But real and 3rd one is actual love, where you do not need lover or other..you simply love everythings...but thats only possible if you become free from all expectations..n..you become first time happy also..as all expectations bring mysery...but thats possible only if you do meditations under real master like OSHO or GURDJIEFF...so thats love is not psychological..as it does not change with d chang of mind or psychology....or thoughts...

honestly, even if in fact love and hapiness is classified as psychological, i could careless. why would you bother disecting and researching such a beautiful thing, or any emotion for that matter. emotions are emotions...let them play out, be felt. no one needs to know what causes it, what stops it.

don't we usually have control over our thoughts? If love is psychological, then how come we can't control it? Love is an emotion that we can't control and we can only use our mind to help us comprehend it and help make decisions as to what to do.

Of course it is. Every aspect of the human experience is 'psychological'.
