first round without a doubt. and yes he will probably go to a team that needs a quarterback badly. he will more than likely go somewhere around pick 5-10. he might get picked by the ravens, kansas city, detroit, or maybe even the patriots as a backup and future starter. wouldn't put it past them, keeping ryan close to home in a friendly environment.

I honestly can't tell you what round he'd go in because I haven't really seen him play or heard much about him, but there are many teams that could really use a good QB.

The Falcons, Eagles, Dolphins, and Bears probably could use a good QB the most, but I'd have to say the Dolphins.

The Dolphins are a complete wreck and need a good player that can provide leadership to a struggling team. But then again, there are many other QB's that would likely be better for the Fins.

There is no way he'd be a backup for any of the teams I listed, because the QB's for their teams are just plain CRAP. I do agree with you that the Packers kick a**, but there's no way that he'd go to the Packers, not after Aaron Rodgers showed what he could do in the Cowboys game.

Matt Ryan has the mechanics and in-game intelligence to go in the first round. There are plenty of teams that do not have a quality starting quarterback. Miami, Atlanta, Carolina, Minnesota, and the Jets have been shown their weakness at the quarterback position. I could see either the Jets or the Ravens drafting Ryan early. As a Minnesota fan, I would like to see Ryan end up as a Viking to give stability to the position.
Now, depending on who drafts him, he could see starting time during the second half of the season. For the majority of quarterbacks, starting in the first season usually leads to an average career. A young quarterback needs time to adjust to the speed and defenses at the pro level. If it's the Ravens, he will start. If it's the Jets, he may be the backup.

He may be drafted by the Falcons at four, Carolina at 11, Bears at 12, Detroit at 17 or drop to round two....thus will be a Brady Quinn-like situation, where he may go early or possibly fall out of the big payday draft positions. The Falcons will pick him, though, unless the club can somehow deal for someone like Derek Anderson (if the Brownsend up dealing him).

A lot depends on the combines, the int tests and all that, but I think he is a late first rounder. The packers are happy with their current backup. If he does well at the combines, he could creep up into the top 10. I am guessing if the Dolphins take a QB with their first pick they take Brohm.

Matt Ryan is going in the first round, very early in the first round, in fact i think he's the first QB taken in this year draft. He's the best QB in the draft this year, he got a big arms and an accurate passer also.

He'll definitely go first round.....I've read on a few different scouting sites that he's probably the best quarterback prospect of the class. He'll be top 5, if not that top 10 most definitely.

He won't fall any farther than 8th to be honest. Like the person up there said, the Ravens won't pass on him. Boller isn't their best choice for QB, and a stud like Ryan, even though a bad pro day is too good of potential to pass up. Also I don't even think he will get down to 8. The Falcons need a QB. Even though they resigned Joey Harrington, he isn't going to be the answer anywhere. I say he goes 3rd to ATL. Good luck!! Edit: Even though their DEF went down last year, and wasn't the same dominant team that we have seen before, did you see how far their offense went? If it wasn't for McGahee, they would have ended up with a top 5 pick. I firmly believe if the Falcons don't take him (which they will or be forced to keep Harrington) then he will go to the Ravens. They had their experiment with Kyle "I should have been a" Boller and that got them nowhere. He was a waste of a mid-first round pick. They are going to need a solid QB or its going to be an even longer year.
