It does not matter if its a straight line or on a road course, the 1993 cobra would beat the 1993 240sx. What people that have never actually raced on a road course forget is that handling is great, but remember there are 3 parts to a turn, going into the turn you need brakes, and comming out of the turn you need acceleration, and during the turn you need suspension. The cobra is better in 1 out of the 3 aspects of taking a turn (acceleration), the brakes are a tie, and its suspension is close. I have driven both a 93 cobra and a 240sx (I honestly dont remember what year it was, it was a 90's 240 though). The accleration is not even close. That alone would allow the cobra to overtake the 240 on a road course. I must admit though, that as far as handling goes, the 240sx is on the top of the hill. There are very few cars that can handle turns as well as the 240sx. The problem is that it only has 155hp and it just comes out of the turns so darn slow that in stock form it is very hard to keep up. If you ever have driven a 240sx, you will know what I am talking about when I say you can feel every bump on the road. Its suspension is phenominally stiff, but this is what allows it to take turns as well as it does. As far as 1/4 mile times, the 93 cobra does the 1/4 mile in 14.5 seconds. The 93 240sx does the 1/4 mile in 16.3 seconds. Thats almost a full 2 second difference. As any road course driver will tell you, that is just too much to overcome no matter how good your handling is. I will post a site below that lists the 1/4 mile times, it is a great site.

From 1987-1995, you can only see 2 cars (majority of drag races) that shows to famous drag strip places like Atco, Englishtown, New Jersey and some famous drag strip in the west such as Nevada or San Bernardino valley...If you are not familiar during this years, Ford 5.0 and the The Buick Grand National are the fierciest drag racing competitor anywhere in the United States.... Yes, no Camaros, Corvete, Chrysler products, Oldsmobile or Pontiac.."""ZERO=NADA""" It's always been this 2 cars that beat each other anywhere at anytime... The 5.0 has a very potent engine specially if the owner has the knowledge to put turbo's on them...WITH OUT THE POWER additives of course, the Buick GN/ GNX WILL EAT IT UP alive,in the street and in the track....So your question is yes...The 5.0 will kicked the 240sx.....

depends on what kind of race...straight line the cobra would win if the driver manage to set off and not burn all the tread of the rear tires away. if it's a real track with corners then 240sx by miles.

it depends on what kind of race and the skills of the driver.
on a drag race, the fox would win no doubt but on a circuit or autocross, the 240 has a big chance on winning the only determining factor is the experience of the driver...
