I think when you are super tired, your body has been tricked into thinking it needs to keep going. Therefore, when you have reached a point when you can actually crawl into your bed, your brain has not yet received the signal that it's ok to sleep.

O.k... Doctors believe there is a certain chemical inside of you called chromine that is released when you become too tired. Chromine is released when you hit the "Tired Barrier" This means you are at max tiredness. If you hit the tired barrier. No sleeping for you ^_^. Go to sleep earlier, it helps !!

Ah My Tiff,
Insomnia (Spelling)

My guess is to much stress and not enough good physical work.

With to much on you mind keeping your mind running on high to find an answer and having alot to worry about while having a physical body that is not exhausted ... Well it's pretty simple math ... If that is what it is!!! And that is what it seems to be from my perspective...

Find some things that reduce stress without the bad side effects and some activities that work your body that you enjoy!!! Sex, basketball, football, sex, running, swiming, sex, hiking, walking, weight training, sex, volleyball, bike riding or of course sex.
Good Luck..
Greg

Once the body gets beyong the "normal" tired zone, you start burning fat cells and producing adrenaline. This is the body's way of compensating for lack of sleep to regenerate. TheBurning fat cells produces sugar. That and the adrenaline are what is keeping you awake. If you stay awake long enough, your body will eventually start to shut down and will force you to sleep to prevent permanent damage.

Try reading a book while you lay in bed. It actually works.

What happens is that you are concentrating on what you are reading, and your mind doesn't have time to think of all the other things that would normally be running through your head. It puts me to sleep every time.

You can't rest when you are super tired. Rest your nerves and sip on some tea, you will be relaxed, and then you will go to sleep. I wish you peace and God's blessings.

good god. I have had that problem for a week. I am so effing tired. I can't even nap in the day. I just can't shut off.
For you, why don't you try deep breathing and picture yourself jogging . It's repetitive and boring and will help.
