It's not just a naked guy in a barrel. It's supposed to be a grinder for cocoa however the handle is like a males body part so it is a rude gift.
I think it depends on the relationship you have with him. However since you work with him you may just want to ignore it and hide it away.

The figure looks like it might have some ancient significance. I'd ask him about it to see what it's supposed to be. I mean, it's not just a guy in a barrel. It looks like something you might see in a archeological dig. I'd wait to find out the story behind it before I got upset.
