and Geelong the second then which team was the third to be formed?

I should have said formed and then played in the VFL because technically Castlemaine was the second Australian rules club formed in 1859 June 15th, Geelong was 32 days later.

Port Adelaide, nah its, Carlton, but only cause every one here said so, i would of needed a book or outside help for that answer, Colin's answer is good, its good to see when the clubs were formed, wheres the interstaters mate, should of done the full list, Col.

I dont care just as long as Collingwood continue to be the biggest under acheiving team in the AFL.

If Melbourne was the first club formed you would have thought that they would have been at least competetive by now.
