I'm 18, but I look and dress older, and I was wondering if it was feasible to sneak in a few slots if I'm not sticking out from the crowd.

As long as you don't hit a jack-pot over 1,200 you'll be fine. If you do you have to go to the cashiers cage for payout and they card.

While blackjack (21) may be the easiest game to pick up and understand, it can be one of the more complex games to actually play. What you choose to do (hit or hold) can affect the rest of the table, and nothing will clear out a blackjack table like an inexperienced player. I might hold off on playing blackjack unless you can get a table with few or no other people playing. There are several other table games you can play in which your game play will not affect others. The easiest one I know if is Pai Gow poker. It is fairly simple to play, although slightly more difficult than blackjack. And you aren't passing cards or drawing or anything that will affect others at the table, including the dealer. One of the great things about table games in Las Vegas is that the dealers will help you as much as they can. They will explain the rules to you and will let you know what the house would do in any given situation. Remember, though, that the odds are always in the favor of the casino. Table dealers are friendly and you will find that many people sitting at your table are friendly and willing to help in most cases. As far as places to go, places like the Palms, Hard Rock, NYNY, Planet Hollywood and TI are more popular with the younger crowds. But the odds and payouts are pretty much the same anywhere, so it really won't matter where you play. Simple etiquette rules: • You cannot use a cell phone while at a table. If you must take or make a call, you will have to step away from the table. You can leave your chips to reserve your space. • When you walk up to a game you haven't played before, watch a couple of hands before sitting down or buying in. Feel free to ask questions. Most of the time the dealer and/or players will answer your questions. • Take note of the table minimums, which are posted. Some tables/areas have higher minimums.

No they don't. I am a 24 year old female who was in Vegas two months ago, and I look 16. I get carded every time for R movies, and every time I go to small casinos around where I live. I have been to Harrahs in Cherokee, NC a hundred times and every single time I am there, I get asked for my id from security guards walking around at least 5 times an hour because I look so young. When I went to Vegas, I was only asked for id one time and that was at a table game. Other than that, I never got carded. There were no guards checking ids at the door which they have at the small casinos near me. I never got carded, and even though I am of age, I look so young. The worst that could happen if they did happen to ask was that you left your id at home or something. Good luck!

When I was 20 and went to Vegas, I got carded for Gambling only about 2 times out 10 times trying to play. So the obvious answer is-- not always. But I was well dressed and looked like at least 22. It really depends where you go. If a place is busy and hopping they may not even notice your age or care. As far as drinking, they seemed more strict about that. Most of the time they asked for ID ,but I was still able to get away with it several time.

Vegas has a --"dont know, dont care" policy about it. So as long as you dont stick out to much, they may not really care what you do at..

But the people who said they card if you hit a jackpot are exaclty right. So stick to the table games or something else.

Yes they will card you. Plus you only think you look older, you will still get carded. Some casinos will beat around the bush, but eventually you will get carded. Also they know that many teens like you, will play the "look older game" so count on getting carded.

Edit:
If you want to get kicked out quicker try your ploy at a table game. Those pit bosses who have been working the pit for decades won't notice that you are a 18 year old want a be.

OH yes all the time. Even just stood watching you could get carded if you look under 30.
You probably think you look older and dress older than 18 (remember you gotta be 21) but I bet you dont really, whats the difference between how a 18 and a 22 year old dresses anyway ???

You have identified the real catch 22 in Las Vegas.

You look and dress older. So you go in and start playing the slots. You lose money. They are more than willing to take your money regardless of age. They have no reason to check your ID and you can sit there all day long losing money.

But now you hit a big one. Someone has to come over and pay it to you in cash. And guess what? They check your ID. And behold!! You are under 21 and therefore you were gambling illegally!! They do not have to pay you!!

They win both ways. They take your money as you lose and they do not have to pay you your money when you win.

The best SUCKER BET in town.

They do card. I was 27, playing at a table when they carded me. I forgot my ID-left it with my gym bag in my car-and was escorted out of the casino by security. That really sucked!

I've known my little brother to sneak in a few quarters at the machines. However if you win they will definately be looking at your ID.

They scan the crowd all the time. You have to cake on the eye make up, have a nice hair do maybe some big earrings and make sure your feminine features if showing to some degree look 21. Borrow a wedding-like ring or wear something similar on your ring finger. Remember the drink girl is going to walk right up to you and check you out. If you are going to cheat, you might as well order a cold one. I am not saying it is legal. Some have spotters at the door. Otherwise you'll have to try your luck with the slots in the package stores.
