Just wondering how that works, not for me, but just trying to find out information on how that works.

Well, this person I know he has been married to her for 8 years, but got married in Reno, NV and now lives here in Arizona for the past 4 years or so. No kids involved, but they do not live together anymore either.

They haven't lived together in a few years, I believe.

since you meet the states residency requirements
NV has a residency requirement
though it's not very long

Usually it depends on how long you've been married. Each state differ. But the person that moved from the marriage state has to be living in the new place usually one year without spouse. You can get divorced where ever you what but it has a time period in that state without the spouse but if children are involved please seek legal counsel.

You file for divorce in the state you live in. Contact your local Clerk Of Courts Office.

if you meet the residency requirements for the state you are living in, then you can get divorced there regardless of where your were married.
