I'm going to go with genuflection on this one...
Terrorists THRIVE on martyrdom... you can't fight fire with fire.
Did you know that some Muslim Fundamentalists actually pray to Allah daily to ask to be killed while at war with Westerners?
Yeah, so an AK47 or an M249 is like fanning their fires... no good.
You sometimes need to discuss (or even genuflect) to come to an understanding of the root of the problem so you know where to pull it out of the soil...
All gardening metaphors aside - there is nothing inherently "conservative" about using weapons to solve your problems.

I don't know what a M249 is, but I am sure it will be more of a deterrent than a genuflecting cowardly liberal !

Violence is not the answer, it is but one of many viable solutions.
Personally though I feel a Mk19 is more disuasive than both the M249 and empty threats and rhetoric.

I just picked myself up off the floor after reading an answer that stated "Democrats tackle a problem." For the average Democrat, tackling a problem is as simple as punishing people for success by taking their hard earned wealth and redistributing it to the losers who support them. To be a Democrat is an admission that one is a total failure and a societal parasite.
By the way, give me the M249. All the liberals in America couldn't defeat a troop of well trained Weblos.
