Yes, he is revered as the founder of modern-day Turkey.
Mustafa Kemal is his name. Ataturk is an honorific. I believe it translates as "Father of all Turks".
His public rise to prominence began during WW1 as a coronel in the Ottoman Turkish Army. During the French & British attack on Gallipoli, when he ignored the local geman commander, ralled turkish troops & pinned the Entente forces on the beachhead long enough to for reinforcements to arrive, which untimately led to the defeat of the invasion.
Under his leadership, Turkey adopted a constitution making it a secular democracy, the bans on outward demonstrations of religion going so far as to bar women from wearing veils or even covering their hair.

Oh your name is Turkish, so you should have known all of these.. Study a bit about your history.. Dont be a silly turkish. Ataturk has never been married and he didnt have a child. He adopted a girl. Ottoman Empire was supporting more islamic country, but Ataturk brought the modern democratic developments and established the Turkish Republic. All Turkish modern youth is his grandchildren. We are always open to these kind of questions but don't have tolerance to the ones who insult our leader and grandfather!
