About every 4 years for most of my life... Military brat, Military wife... In fact it feels like it's time to move again... I always wondered what it would be like to have roots like some families do. They have been in the same town most of their lives, some have never seen the ocean, or the mountains... it amazes me! I guess I have been very lucky in that I can make a home anywhere, and have! All over the world! I've never been to Hawaii though but, would love to! I've seen some beautiful places!

The summer I turned 50, I relocated alone to a different part of the country for a job opportunity that I had no idea how to do. I left behind family, friends, the people who were making me miserable, everything I ever knew, closed my eyes, held my breath and took that leap of faith into the best and happiest times I've ever known. On my 50th birthday I walked around with the biggest grin on my face, thinking "look how far I've come and I didn't screw up!"
That was my fifth move. The next one, whenever it is, will be the best and last. I'm too arthritic for this.

From age 21 to present I have moved nine times. The move twelve years ago from Orange County, CA to King County, WA was the longest distance. It was not a decision easily made. I miss my home state and family there, but my grandchildren are five minutes away now and I like this a lot.

Always in California. I've lived from one end of this state to the other. I estimate I've moved at LEAST 300 times over my entire lifetime. Too many towns to remember! Good mind boggler type of question! It would take me some time to put an entire list together! I'm gettin' a headache just thinkin' about it. Yikes.

As a child I moved from England to Australia, then as an adult I was married to a serviceman and we lived in 8 different locations. Since my divorce five years ago, I've lived in 3 places - my friend's basement, a rental apartment by myself, then I met my partner and we bought this place together. Hopefully, this is the place we'll stay in forever. I don't want to move anywhere else !

When I was first married, I moved 13 times in 6 years with my musician husband. When our daughter started first grade, I put my foot down, and I have moved twice (with two more husbands) since then, in 40 years, and I don't intend to ever move again.

I have moved 7 times since 1975. I plan to move one more time and then no more. All moves have been in the same state, never have moved out of my home state.

Too many to count. But I did like living in Honolulu and on the big island. Good memories.
