Please, do not associate any "race" factors in your answers. It should have nothing to do with my question.

Oprah frightens me, but her sheep (Oprah fans, people who do exactly as Oprah says, etc) terrify me.

No, she doesn't have any business sticking her nose in politics but she's doing it anyway. A LOT of people don't have any business meddling with politics, like Ann Coulter and Michael Moore for example. Hell, George W. Bush has no business sticking his nose in politics. I think Oprah has more brain power than all 3 of those characters combined. She's just incredibly obnoxious. It's like she swears she's Jesus or something.

Anyone has a right to endorsed a political candidate. But being famous gets attention. It doesn't matter if we like to put race or gender into this election, but it will be taken into account. You have to face the fact that the two major democratic runner ups are a women and a black man. These are history making people. And as much as we would like to pretend that race and or gender do not matter in this election, we know it's going to be history in the making. America Rocks!!!!

Have you heard of money and power of association? and you are naive thinking that has nothing to do with race. All those factors walk hand in hand my friend, besides, don't ask something, then tell us how to answer. Again and again and again, "if you don't like the answers , don't ask the question".

Last I checked, Americans have the right to free speech. If Oprah wants to use that speech to endorse Obama... she has the right to do so.

N.O. - she is just using her *celebrity status* in this arena and it's WRONG. I used to work in a chain bookstore, and the old saying was, "Everything Oprah touches is gold" because if she endorsed a book, it would IMMEDIATELY be number 1 for a million weeks. She should just stick with her show and her magazine and her book club and shut UP.

Everyone has an opinion....
And people with a lot more money are able to express it more loudly......
The great thing about the USA is that anyone can stick their nose in.....
Peace.

She has just as much right as any other celebrity that's done it through time. Warren Beatty, Julia Roberts, Arnold Schwarzenegger. What right did Ronald Reagan have sticking his nose in politics at first?

Why shouldn't she? She's a citizen who's endorsing the candidate she feels will be best for the job. Should it matter that she's a celebrity. I don't think it should.
