Yes! I so wish he was real. That would just be the coolest. Awww, sorry you didn't get a present! I didn't get one either....so far from home this year.
Do you know the story about the REAL St. Nick? It's pretty interesting:
Basically, a boy was born to the leader of a big, wealthy church. They boy grew up dispising the way his parents lived so lavishly while there were so many people who had nothing.
He went travelling, but learned of his father's death and returned home. He was the next in line to lead the church, and he did so.....though much differently than his father had.
He gave to the poor, and made sure all were fed and clothed. He didn't spend money on himself apart from necessities.
One afternoon, he was walking past the home of a poor man who had three daughters - one of the daughters was crying because her father did not have enough money to pay for her dowery, and she would not be able to marry her true love. That night, Nick snuck back, and put a bag of coins (enough for the dowery) in the gal's wooden shoes that she had left outside.
The man's two other daughters - when their time came to pay the dowery, also found bags of coins - one that was thrown down the chimmney and landed in a stocking that was being hung to dry.
I don't know if the details of this story are true - it may be part legend....but St. Nicholas (Santa means Saint in Italian....) was a real man!
He just didn't have flying reindeer......

I'm sorry you didn't get a present.
I'm glad someone here told the Saint Nicholas story. However, these days, Santa Claus is as real as we make him. Santa needs helpers all over the world, and you can be one of them!
I believe that no matter how poor someone is, one can always give something. Tomorrow most of the Christmas stuff will be half off. Why not buy some candy canes and distribute them to your friends, or even to strangers, saying, "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!"? I bet you'll feel a whole lot better!

What???? Of course Santa is real. Who said he isn't? Norad even tracks his sleigh and post updates online all night. I belive in Santa Claus and I always will.
