How can I access my router setup? I tried going to the 192.168 thing, but it doesnt work. It says this page cannot be displayed. If it helps, I have a linksys wireless router.

Linksys .. excellent choice . Be sure of your "Static IP addess" . enter it in the adress bar after the http:// . When the browser opens , if you see the logon pop up , do not enter into the "User" box , click the "Password" box and enter admin . admin is the Linksys default password . After the setup page opens .. click "Administration" (tab) /see "Router Password: enter a 9 character password/confirm . Remember this password .. ha . Enter this password in the password box each time that pop up appears . Linksys has a great service for helping you either Live chat -or- call-in 24/7 . They will set ya' up security wise and answer any and all questions .

type the gateway number in the IE address . after that you can brows the Linksys router . How can you get the gateway number ?? go to the taskbar left side you will find 2 small TV double click on it will show to you another windows , click on support you will see default gateway .

Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default address, not 192.168.0.1 as you will find in some other brands. If you are having problems accessing it from a wireless connection, try a wired connection.
