I hate how I can't help the women in Iran who are being abused and tortured and held hostage by their husbands, and the government allows it! i really want to put myself out there! but any way that doesnt involve donations, because I dont always trust in those, and i dont have much money to offer. Im thinking of making a site or somthing... any ideas, opinions on this issue?

Find groups in your area that push for women's rights world-wide. I'm sure that many volunteer organizations are aware of the abysmal way women are treated. They do things like mailing campaigns, press releases, and other investigations. It might take a bit of looking. Some areas have an "underground" newspaper that talks about community activism. Some newspapers have a community section that does the same thing as a news article. Follow that lead.

Also, to get here, you have to be online already. Do a Yahoo or other search for "Women's Rights" groups to see what you can find, then see if they have a chapter near you. Talk to them. See what they do. See if that conforms to your own ideas. You never know what might be available until you look.

Remember, these aren't human rights violations. We have no right interfereing with their business. Liberals talk about how we were quick to meddle in Iraqi affairs, yet don't act on injustices such as the ones in Darfur. However, they are deadset against a war in Iran. We need to act on both of them, and cut this double standard ****. Anyone who downplays the abuses in either of these situations is a hypocrite when they speak out agaisnt the other one. Thank you for bringing an often overlooked injustice to light.

There is no quick and easy solution. The long-term solution is to revolutionize the culture. They need to:

1) Get rid of the Ayatollahs.

2) Rediscover their ancestral religion of Zoroastrianism and take pride in it, and see Islam as Arab cultural imperialism that oppresses them.

1. Pray to Jesus Christ and ask him to have mercy on those oppressed and under control of those who do the devils work!2. Vote...only vote for a candidate that is not already a Washington, D.C. insider...this eliminates the Bush's, Clinton's etc...etc.. they have known this abuse has been going on for years and turn a blind eye to it as oil and profit are placed above freedom and humane standards for women throughout the globe!
3. It is possible to stop this barbaric treatment? Yes...but the politicians are not willing to do so! As U.S. President, the threat of the use of nuclear weapons against a country that practices barbaric treatment would go a long way! Example: If you are being tortured and held hostage for the rest of your life without serious intervention...death would come as a relief! America has taken first-strike capabilities off the table concerning the use of nuclear weapons....this is a big, big mistake on our part! Foreign countries that knew America could use nuclear weapons...possibly triggering WWIII, would want diplomatic solutions. For those that think China and the Soviet Union want nuclear war, think again. They are slowly bankrupting America into submission and the direct threat of any nuclear holocaust would be directly counter-productive to their chances of dominating the world, which is their governments goal! A limited nuclear strike, can remove a city from the map! A full-scale nuclear war could remove everyone from the map! History repeats itself...so do the struggles to remain free. Americans can all hang separately, or Americans can all perish together knowing the price of remaining free has no limitations in the mondern world! As soon as an anti-American radical nation acquires a nuclear weapon...they will explode it upon American soil! What then? Does anyone really believe a retaliatory strike will mean anything when millions of Americans are already dead and the nation is in chaos and bedlum, facing a disaster it is unable to handle? Since 9-11, the world of terrorism no longer fears America...it has taken the fight to our nations shores! Saddam Hussein and Bagdad should have been taken off the map with a limited nuclear strike , along with Tehran, Iran as an example to the world, The U.S. will not stand for its country and citizens being attacked! China and the Soviet Union had prior knowledge of the attacks, upon America and have waited to see its response! America is a paper-tiger as it sets on its precise, nuclear missles while its young men and woman die on the streets of foreign soil! America and its leadership are out to please the world and business for profits! Human life means nothing....we send our nations youth in to harms way to die for what? Absolutely nothing that will benefit America or its citizens! America should only send its military to achieve complete and swift victory on the battlefield, nothing less! Better America perish as a whole-nation, fighting and defending the principals of freedom and liberty, than to die a slow death under the barbaric hand of international terrorism! Time is running out for America, it is at a crossroad, where future leadership must address what amounts to America under seige by those nations in the world that have clearly stated America's demise is their goal! America must change course from a defensive posture to an offensive first-strike capability with a military force capable of defending our interest throughout the globe, while time still allows it! The wolves are at the door, the time is now for action! America needs to triple its military numbers and upgrade its weaponry arsenal! What is the difference between owing 10 trillion and 500 trillion dollars when the state of the union is at stake! America must prepare for war....all out war, as it is just on the horizon! Our nations well-being and future is on the line! There are things worse than dying in a nuclear holocaust, it is called living under the oppression of tyranny and barbarians, who may soon rule the world of those they have enslaved along the way! The Imperialistic Japanese changed their tune after two atom bombs hit Japan in WWII! Word before that was the Japanese would never surrender, they would fight to the death! They would do this, they would do that, honor, culture etc..etc.. You hit any country with a nuclear weapon and they will change their tune just a little faster than immediately! They get first-hand knowledge of where the rubber, meets the road!

While your concern is admirable you are not going to change thousands of years of cultural mores with one web site.

You've been tricked by all that propaganda. There is nothing of that happening in Iran.

Until a majority of the women in that country stand up for themselves, I don't think there's much you can do.
