Last time he landed in someone's front yard instead of the roof, when he came out the sleigh was up on blocks and his reindeer were missing.

It's easier than climbing off a roof without a ladder to get to the door. The last time he tried that he fell 15 feet into a snowbank. Thank goodness for the shrubbery that broke his fall. It cost $386.00 to replace the gutters he grabbed on his way down.
