It's not wrong, and stems from two main sources:
1. There was a time when words were thought to have the power to bless or curse people. Curse words were avoided for this reason.
2. Certain words were used by commoners, or lower-class people, and were therefore avoided. People didn't want to appear uncivilized by using a pauper's diction.
The idea that a particular word is any worse than another is ridiculous. People hand arbitrary power to words because they've been conditioned to do so and refuse to execute logical thinking.

Curse words date lower back to the early seventeenth century. It grow to be mentioned that Witches invented them. It grow to be believed that as quickly as a witch positioned a spell (or a curse) on something, they could yell specific words. those words have been as a result believed to hold undesirable issues and weren't familiar. The history handed on for years and years, notwithstanding, interior the 1900's human beings began employing the words as a skill of pillory. The which skill of the words persevered to adapt and are what we pay attention at the instant.

There is nothing wrong with what some people call "cursing." I have encouraged all my children to curse to excess, with only mixed results. They tend to do so moderately at home and almost not at all in public where they sense that others do not agree with my views. But it is, in the end, just a difference in views and mine is that words can never be wrong but acts can. By concentrating on so-called bad words, people succeed in distracting others from thinking about what kind of acts are really bad and undesireable.

Cursing is decided by the society, so some words are banned while others sail on through

Cursing is wrong because society decided that it's wrong for some reason. There's no word or phrase that's inherently wrong, just words or phrases to which society has assigned a value of "wrongness."

I don't agree with "Hippy wisdom": cursing (or swearing, or using obscenities) exists in just about every language, and is an important way of relieving emotional stress.
It's offensive because it makes other people feel bad. I do swear on occasion, but I limit it as much as possible, as I don't want to cause offense to others. (I feel offended when I hear someone else swearing too.)
The psychology of cursing is complicated: if we stop everyone from saying certain words, they invent other terms to substitute for them. They are called euphemisms, for example, "bathroom" instead of "toilet", or "sugar" instead of "sh*t". But then the euphemisms can start to take on the shock value of the words they replaced, and people start taking offense again.
Curse words or obscenities are usually about bodily functions and social taboos: for instance, "son of a b*tch" implies that the person's mother lacked the prized social value of sexual modesty; the same with "bastard". In different societies, different qualities are more undesirable than others, so in Spanish for instance "puto" [f*ggot] is more commonly used as an insult than in English.
In Italian, religious taboos are very important, so insults to the Madonna {the mother of Jesus] are common.
Here are some interesting examples of euphemisms:
"Corblimey" is a euphemism for "God blind me".
"Dammit" or "Dash it" ~ "God damn it"
"Dang" ~ "Damn"
"Gees" ~ "Jesus"
"For Pete's [or pity's] sake" ~ "For God's sake"
"Holy smoke!" ~ "Holy Ghost"

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. (Romans 12:14)
Cursing is the calling down of some evil on a person, place, or thing.

Because its just another stupid man-made thing people try to pull off on you... like religion... they're all nonsense words...
I don't believe that there was a specific inventor of curse words, but they just sort of evolve over the different things people say when they stub their toe or something...
