The cats have a Bargaining Agreement and this would cause some cats to file grievances because the cats getting the food would not catch as many mice, meaning that cats that are independant contractors would have to be called in.
The cat's chief union stewart would have a field day (or a field mouse at least).

A few reasons:
Anon would be dead because the scientist would of tested the poor mouse for artificial flavoring one too many times.
PETA would form a life sized chain depicting a mouse trap.
