I own a asus p4p800-e- deluxe mainboard and every time i turn off the power in it and start up, i gotta reconfigure the bios settings.

I just press F2 now and set the default settings and continue bootup but it would be cool if i cud get a solution for this.

Thanks in advance.

2 errors pops in mind with the describe problem

1- The battery of the mainboard is not holding anymore the information and need to be reconfigure each time.

2- There might be a jumper to reset the bios which was left in the clear mode and you loose the settings each time it is powered down.

Verify these 2 points and hope you fix the problem

Have this problem raise on the one who program your computer. Or much more better on the store where you bought your computer.

This has something to do with your wrong Bios configuration. For example, on your video card is it PCI or AGP? Or do you need to booth to other application.

Some of this are disabled and are not activated for use. Then Restart and booth again. If it still exist, check what is installed on your computer insides.

Maybe some of your components are built in and had some additional hardware stuffs.

So better had this check on not to configure again your BIOS settings. Take note on this next time you could do this again when your computer is corrupted and reformatted.

Make a check list and record of this for your future use.

There is a battery that keeps the memory alive to retain those settings. Replace that and your problem will go away.

Most likely you need a new battery for your motherboard.
