just wondering if I can use the python to syphon water into my bathtub or toilet, instead of using the faucet vacuum method when draining.

If you're just using it as a siphon, rather than using the water flow from the sink, yes you can (as long as where you're releasing the water is at a lower height). I like this method, since the Python tends to waste a lot of water to remove the 25% from the tank. Not a bad idea, especially if you live in an area affected by drought. I'd just make sure that the end at the toilet/tub is held secure so it doesn't roll out and make a mess on the floor.

If you plan to use it the way it's set up to draw water out of your tank by creating a vacuum by the force of moving water from the tap to which the Python is connected, it probably won't work - the tub most likely won't have the same type of connection needed for the faucet connection, and a toilet wouldn't have any.
