This question comes onto the board every week or so.

It's Hasek and Osgood in Detroit.

Hasek is the #2 goalie of the last 30 years. Osgood, to the surprise of some but statistcally proven, is the #3 goalie of the lest 30 years - better than Roy, Fuhr, Hextall, Belfour, and dozens of others.

When you have #2 and #3 (Brodeur is #1), I don't think you can do much better.

I find it interesting, and somewhat amusing, that I get thumbs downed every time I offer facts. These aren't opinions - Hasek and Osgood have the #2 and #3 best stats in the NHL over the last 30 years. I don't make them up. And if stats aren't important for a goaltender, then they aren't important to anyone. Funny, really.

Detroit or Canucks right now. As for the worst, I would say the Lightning or the Avalanche (even though Budaj has been stellar in his last 7 starts).

Hate to parrot, but right now Osgood and Hasek are looking like the best. Huet and Price(Montreal) and Backstrom and Harding(Minn) would probably be next in line.

Since Hasek has regained his form a bit, and Osgood has been the class of the league, Its Detroit hands down..

Osgood and Hasek, only if Hasek keeps improving though. He was sick against Minnesota. I'd rather see Ozzie in net though.

Detroit. Osgood is statistically the best, with his record and GAA average. And Hasek? Nuff said.
