My sound only works after my computer has been restarted and only when the computer is initially turned on. It will not play any sounds from itunes, cd's, system, or even error sounds. I have updated my computer, used system restore, gone throught the troubleshooting recommended by Windows and Sony Vaio, deleted a program that I though may have been the problem as well as restarted my computer a bunch of times. I have no idea what happened. I appreciate any assistance. Thank you so much!

go to your audio in control panel,make sure nothing is muted,it doesn't sound like the speakers are blown since it does make sounds on start up,also right click on the volume icon located on the bottom right on start bar and try adjusting your volume
